My invite link has expired — what should I do?

Contact your MAIA admin. They can help you in two different ways:

• Delete your user account and re-invite you
• Generate a permanent invitation link under Settings > Workspace > General and share it with you.

Which file formats does MAIA support?

MAIA supports PDFs, TXT, DOCX and PPTX in all licences. CSVs can also be activated on request. In addition, any plain text format (such as CSV) can also be saved as TXT and processed by MAIA. Photos of documents can be saved as PDF and recognised by ADA.

Can MAIA read XML files, for instance process diagrams?

While MAIAs upload function does not in itself support XML files, MAIA does understand XML structures very well. This mean you can either: (1) Paste the contents of an XML file directly into the chat or (2) upload a XML file with the extension txt and let MAIA do the rest. This works very well for instance for process diagrams.

Which browsers does MAIA support?

We recommend Chrome or Edge for the best user experience with MAIA - all features are fully available and thoroughly tested.

Which page numbers does MAIA recognise?

MAIA cuts documents into individual pages and numbers them starting at 1 - these native page numbers are always known to MAIA. However, MAIA with ADA also recognises the page number written on the document, so this is available to MAIA as additional information in some cases.

Who can share file collections?

There are two authorisation groups in MAIA, admins and users. Users can share file collections with other individual users, admins can make file collections public for the entire workspace.

Does MAIA have a language mode?

With MAIA, the standard dictation functions from Microsoft and Apple can be used as usual.

Why does the upload of my document fail?

There are various reasons why a document upload may fail:

PDF-specific problems:

• Faulty PDF files: Even if other tools can still display the PDF, this does not mean that they are technically correct

• Password-protected PDFs: These cannot be processed

• Invalid PDF structure: Files that are only named .pdf but are not real PDFs

• Complex PDF content: PDFs with embedded programmes or unusual character strings

CSV-specific problems:

• Non-standard CSV structure: If the file deviates too much from CSV standards

What is MAIA generally not suitable for?

MAIA is not a statistics, pattern recognition and forecasting tool. Generative AI assistants such as MAIA are not suitable for dealing with large numbers and solving complex calculations. For this, it is recommended to use analytical AI or business intelligence solutions.

What happens to files and collections when a user is deleted from a workspace?

A) Files that the user owns which are within public workspace collections

=> ownership is transferred to workspace owner

B) Collections that the user owns which are public for the workspace

=> ownership of collection transferred to workspace owner

C) All other collections and files within the workspace that the user owns

 => deleted
