The MAIA REST API gives you programmatic access to MAIA. You can use the API to manage and retrieve data in MAIA and submit search queries.

Range of functions

The API offers you the following main functions:

  • Complete management of your data in MAIA

  • Execution of search queries

  • Flexible response formats: You can choose between complete answers or only relevant text excerpts

Access & Authentication

Prerequisites

The MAIA REST API is only available to organisations with an Enterprise plan.

API Key

Authentication takes place via an API key. Important information about the API key:

  • The key provides cross-workspace access

  • You get access to all files in a workspace, regardless of

    • the owner of the files

    • the release status of the files in the workspace

Requesting an API key

To obtain an API key, you have two options:

  1. Contact your MAIA contact person
