3. Chat with MAIA

Navigate to ‘MAIA Chat’. Here you have the option of exchanging all stored information with MAIA within a classic chat interface or accessing MAIA's general AI knowledge.

3.1 Chatting with MAIA's general knowledge (no own documents required)

MAIA allows the user to chat with and retrieve the trained ‘AI general knowledge’ (knowledge that is not based on your uploaded documents) in the same way as ChatGPT, for example. This is particularly useful for areas of application in which no internal company data is required.

1. Click on ‘+ New Chat‘ in MAIA Chat
   

   

2. Post your question or task to MAIA within the chatbox.

   
   

   

3. Click on the arrow on the right in the chat box to send your enquiry.

4. MAIA will now create an answer based on your task.

   

3.2 Chatting with internal knowledge and own documents

In order to include the information within your own documents in the conversation with MAIA, the corresponding documents must be stored in the file manager in advance (see step ‘2. Upload documents’). These can then be selected in the chat:

1. In the chat, click on ‘Data’ in the chat box.

   

2. Select the files you want to work with / search through.
   

   

3. Click on ‘Done’. The files are now stored.

4. Ask MAIA your question or task in the chat box and click on the arrow to send the message.
   

   

5. MAIA now generates the answer to your question / task on the basis of the stored documents.
   

   

Tip: The files can be flexibly selected and deselected at any time in the chat, depending on what information you currently need and want to use to generate the answer.
