๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ๐Ÿ“ Public Roadmap for MAIA

Last updated 14 days ago

We release new features every couple of weeks, you can view our recent releases in the release notes section. Recent releases included:

  • Stability & Maintainability โ€” A purely technical release focused on updating frameworks, improving security, system stability, and reducing technical debt to ensure a future-proof foundation. (shipped with Release 1.15)

  • Web Search & Insight Hub โ€” MAIA now automatically supplements internal expert knowledge with current external information, with transparent source attribution. The Insight Hub moved out of beta, making implicit company knowledge visible and accessible to the whole team. (shipped with Release 1.14)

  • Insight Hub (Beta) & Stronger Reasoning Models โ€” Launched the beta of the Insight Hub for automatic detection of implicit company knowledge. Reasoning models upgraded with transparent thinking steps and more power for complex questions. (shipped with Release 1.13)

Roadmap format: We consider our roadmap somewhat "nearsighted." That means, we have a very specific list of features we will implement within the coming weeks, a good plan of what problems we want to solve within the next months, and a clear vision for the whole year. It also means, you won't find a detailed list of specific features 9 months into the future but rather the general direction we're moving into.

If you're curious on how we decide on what to build, check out our Product Principles.

๐Ÿšง In active development, release within the next few weeks

Our goal here: Industrial users of knowledge management tools shouldn't have to tell the tool how to do its job. An AI knowledge management tool should think like an engineer, and work with knowledge like an engineer. It should be able to search for additional information when it needs to.

๐Ÿ“ฆ List of features we're actively developing:

  • Integrate Opus 4.6 โ€” Upgrade MAIA's underlying model capabilities by integrating Claude Opus 4.6. Improves reasoning quality, context handling, and response accuracy across all use cases. Up next with Release 1.16.

  • Agent Mode โ€” An improved version of MAIA that can reason more autonomously, take multiple steps to solve complex problems, and proactively gather the information it needs to deliver thorough answers.

  • Image Support โ€” Extending MAIA's context intelligence with visual content. Analysis of industry-specific images such as technical schematics, assembly instructions, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Unlocks niche and implicit knowledge stored in visual formats, significantly increasing MAIA's reasoning depth.

๐Ÿ”ฎ Within a couple of months

MAIA is already the smartest way for industrial companies to access product knowledge โ€” but we're not stopping there. We're continuing to develop MAIA as the best AI knowledge management tool for industrial companies across the DACH region.

๐Ÿงฑ Expansion: Foundation & Accessibility

  • UI/UX Overhaul โ€” A refreshed, more intuitive interface that makes it even easier to get started with MAIA and get the most out of it in your daily work.

  • Temporary Files & Drag-and-Drop โ€” Drop documents directly into the chat for quick, on-the-fly analysis โ€” no need to upload them to your knowledge base first. Perfect for one-off questions or ad-hoc tasks.

  • Excel Support โ€” Bring your spreadsheets into MAIA. Excel files are at the heart of how industrial teams work, and soon MAIA will be able to read and reason over them just like any other document.
